Experience Belonging at Ascension Dance
You are at your best when you feel secure and supported, when you know you are accepted, included, seen and heard.
Ascension Dance is a place where you learn dance technique, have fun, express yourself freely, build relationships, and belong.
Ascension Dance will be walking in the parade, and by walking, we mean DANCING! If you would like to learn the special choreography for the parade, register for the class below. After you register, we will share details of choreography, where to meet, how to prepare for a parade and costumes. There is no fee to join the parade dance.
This parade starts at the Civic Centre (Town Hall) and ends at Sons of Kent. Ascension Dance will have a booth at the celebration on Saturday.
If you are in the parade we will be providing optional costume pieces such as skirts, tutus, jackets, Ascension Dance logo shirts – all in rainbow colours and sparkles! We will meet on Friday August 11 to find our favourite parade costume outfits.
All are welcome, all ages and abilities can participate with this event. The choreography will be movement that can be done while traveling, with repetitive arm movements that are easy to follow along. Add your own style and flare to the choreography and have fun!
