Learn fun spooky themed dances, age appropriate and perfect for beginners and all levels of dance skills

a halloween theme mini camp
Ascension Dance is hosting a mini dance camp for children to be social with other ghosts and ghouls. This dance party will have a structured schedule lead by dance instructors and adult volunteers.
Activities like dancing, making crafts and playing games together will be arranged for all dancers to participate in. There are different activities for all personalities, talents and levels. Everyone is encouraged and supported by their fellow peers and staff members.
No previous dance experience necessary, just a positive attitude, listening ears and a passion for the theatre arts. Dance routines will include dance styles such as ballet, jazz, hip-hop and musical theatre.
We want to provide the dancers with a safe and supportive space to celebrate this spooky season indoors with their friends doing what they love, being creative and having fun.
Halloween Mini Camp value:
$28.00 (plus HST)
Activities will include:
- dress up in your own costumes from home or borrow one from our studio’s collection
- follow along and learn dance routines to themed Halloween music
- perform the dance routines for your friends in small groups who will be cheering you on
- have a photoshoot with costumes in front of our decoration stations
- create a creepy craft provided by the studio
- play drama and dance games using props and toys with a Halloween twist on your favourite games
- enjoy a small snack and watch a short Disney Halloween themed show to rest your bones from dancing
- enjoy a freestyle dance party to be social and dance with glowsticks, party lights and glow in the dark effects

what you need to know
- Dancers will need to bring a packed lunch/snack and water bottle.
- No dance shoes needed. Dancers should wear socks, clean indoor running shoes or bare feet.
- All pictures and video taken during this spooky mini dance camp will be shared with the families via email, we are excited to show you what the campers create and perform.
- Camp starts at 5:00 pm – we will welcome dancers in at 4:45 pm to get settled, show parents and families our decorations, stations and studios.
- Camp ends at 9:00 pm – pick up your dancer anytime before 9:00 pm.
- Once registered, a series of emails will be sent to answer more FAQ and inform you of important details and reminders.
